Welcome to a snapshot of what is going on in my studio today.
First off thermo plastic molds of my bottom set of teeth. I’ve had this thermo plastic for some time but never properly utilised it until now. It’s pretty cool stuff a bit like silicone but a lot easier to use, plus it can be recycled and re used to make more molds.
Next I’ve been making multiple casts of said teeth, I really do not know where these are going but for now I will go with the flow.
The brick body piece has also gained some legs thanks to an aborted 3D print.
Next a stack sculpture that has sort of come together rather nicely .
And finally another 3D print starting to take shape.

Success 🙌
After a few false starts and scratching of one’s head , 10 hours later I finally have a 3D printed black gloss head.
So what have I learned so far, don’t give up because if at first you don’t succeed try try again.
If only I had a 3D scanner things would leap forward quite a bit. Hopefully once I’m back at Uni I can scan a few things so that I can print them here.

A new edition to the studio, I’ve actually had it a couple of weeks and have just been looking at it. For those not in the know it’s a second hand 3D printer.
I’m almost ready to print something on it let’s wait and see.
Next I want to get my hands on a 3D scanner if anyone has one please let me know

Well that’s been a long slog I’m also surprised I’m not tripping of the fixative.
As I have said in previous posts it’s hard to capture the exact colours added to that they sort of blend when the fixative is sprayed on them.
I think I have done this some justice .
Next I want to start thinking about simplifying the colours as well as going quite a bit bigger, this could take some time.
