So yesterday I decided to take time out and work on this piece. The first photo shows the mortar stack, the glue was holding out until I went at the bottom half with a chisel.
The top part was left and to be honest I finally could see something within, the fragmentation of this piece seems to work and I’m enjoying the challenge of it, whereas I found the original shape a bit of a dead end, I instantly saw part of a torso and head.
The roughness if this is also important, it has to look totally aged .
